The French duo Synapson, made up of Alex and Paul, began their music career in 2010 with their first EP titled ‘Haute Couture’. In 2015, they released their first album called ‘Convergence’, which brought together their two worlds in a clear electronic music sound. This album featured the importance of vocals in their productions and included collaborations with artists such as Anna Kova on the hit single “All in You”.
This album was certified gold and later platinum. In 2018, the duo released the project ‘Super 8’, which was a collection of thirteen tracks that showcased their diverse musical influences.
In 2020, to celebrate their 10th anniversary, Synapson embarked on a new project called ‘Global Musique’. This project was a nod to their early success with the track ‘Djon Maya Maï’ and aimed to bring together collaborations from artists all over the world. The first part of the project was set to be released at the end of 2021 and featured tracks such as ‘Bensema’ in collaboration with Malian singer and Grammy award winner Oumou Sangaré.
The project will continue in 2022 with ‘Global Musique Vol. 2’ and will include collaborations with artists such as Bongeziwe Mabandla, Pongo, Lass, Flavia Coelho, and others.
The duo has a monthly podcast called ‘Global Boom Clap’ that showcases their musical inspirations and has amassed a large number of listeners. Synapson is also known for their live performances and have played at various festivals such as Printemps de Bourges, Vieilles Charrues, Solidays, and Delta Festival, as well as venues such as the Zenith in Paris, the Olympia, and the Trianon.
