Guillaume Poncelet is a French pianist and musician. He founded the band Wise in 2004 with Julien Birot and Robin Notte and released their first album on Naive Jazz. In 2004, he also produced the album Mes Couleurs by Freddy for the record label Such.

In 2006, he met Michel Jonasz and began working as the musical director, trumpet player, and pianist for him until 2013. He also joined the French National Jazz Orchestra in 2009 as a keyboard and trumpet player, recording two albums including John Hollenbeck’s Shut Up and Dance which was nominated for a Grammy award in 2012.

In 2008, he met Benjamin Duterde, also known as Ben L’Oncle Soul, and produced his eponymous album which was certified 3 times platinum in France. He also produced albums for Dave’s Blue Eyes Soul and Milk Coffee and Sugar.

In 2013, he toured with Ayo and in 2014 devoted himself to writing his solo album 88. He also went on tour with Zaz in 2015 and wrote and produced 5 tracks for Gaël Faye’s EP Rythmes et Botanique in 2016. In 2018, he released his solo album 88 under his own label Blend, which included bonus tracks with Gaël Faye and Thomas Azier.

He also composed music for the original soundtrack of the feature film Razzia, directed by Nabil Ayouch.
